Al Fateh v Al-Nassr: Cristiano Ronaldo starts potential farewell game
Cristiano Ronaldo will unsurprisingly start what could be his final game for Al-Nassr as they visit Al Fateh.
Al-Nassr’s season comes to an end on Monday, with Stefano Pioli’s men still chasing qualification for next season’s AFC Champions League Elite.
Their cause was boosted on Sunday when they were awarded three points, winning an appeal against Al-Orouba for allegedly fielding an ineligible player in a game in March.
Al-Orouba stunned Ronaldo and Co. 2-1, but the decision to overturn that result leaves Al-Nassr just two points behind second-placed Al-Hilal ahead of the final round of fixtures.
A top-three finish would have been enough f0r qualification, but Al-Ahli took one of the three allocated slots by winning this season’s AFC Champions League Elite title.
Ronaldo has yet to renew his contract, and there has been talk of a potential move to pastures new. While his future is still to be decided, the Portugal star will be eager to finish the season by getting Al-Nassr over the line and achieving a big individual goal.
Ronaldo starts, Duran left out
Al-Nassr have made two changes to the starting XI that beat Al Khaleej 2-0 last time out.
Jhon Duran opened the scoring in that game but drops out of the squad altogether, while Abdullah Al-Khaibari also misses out.
Abdulmajeed Al-Sulaiheem and Ali Al Hassan come into the side.

Ronaldo aims to finish on a high
Gianni Infantino recently suggested Ronaldo could be joining a new team, the FIFA president hinting at a move to a team competing in next month’s expanded Club World Cup in the United States.
A switch to Moroccan side Wydad Casablanca has been reported as a potential next move for Ronaldo. Wydad are set to face Manchester City and Juventus in Group G of the Club World Cup.
If he is set to move elsewhere, then Ronaldo will obviously want to ensure he finishes on a high.
Al-Hilal host fourth-placed Al-Qadsiah as they aim to secure qualification for Asia’s top club competition. Should Al-Hlial slip up and suffer defeat, then a victory for Al-Nassr would secure that coveted second-placed finish.
Ronaldo can also finish as top scorer in the Saudi Pro League. He leads the way with 24 goals, two ahead of Al-Ahli’s Ivan Toney. Regardless of what lies next for Ronaldo, he will be keen to make sure he holds on to his position at the top of the goalscoring charts.
