Popular Markets for Betting on F1 Qualifying

Ante Post 🤔

An exciting way to get involved with the Formula One season is by placing ante-post bets. These are placed in the same way as regular bets, but you are betting on things that can happen or take place in the future. These bets are on the overall outcome as opposed to each individual race. For example, bettors can place money on who they think will win the Formula One World Championship, drivers or constructors, at the start of the season.

Fastest Qualifier 🏎️💨

Reserved specifically for qualifying, these bets involve predicting who will come out of qualifying as the fastest. Take a look at the previous qualifying sessions and results from previous weeks, as well as results from previous qualifying at the same circuit, to help you predict who might come out on top in Q3 and secure P1 on the grid.

Race Winner 🏆

Race winner bets involve bettors predicting who they think will be the winner of the race on Sunday in the build-up to a race weekend. Whether you back your favourite driver, the previous race winner, the winner of the race at the same track the season before, or for any reason you like, get it correct to win your race winner bet.

Saudi Arabian Grand Prix Recap

The final race of three in a row saw Oscar Piastri triumph again in what was a strong weekend for the Australian driver as he secured a second P1 in a row.

After a lap one incident between Piastri and Max Verstappen, the world champion was handed a five-second penalty, which ultimately led to McLaren securing the win by jumping ahead in the pit window. Teammate Lando Norris recovered from 10th on the grid to finish fourth, but it was not enough to keep hold of first place in the championship.

It saw Charles Leclerc secure his first podium of the 2025 season and a double points finish for Williams in what was an incredible race to continue their strong start to the campaign, with Carlos Sainz finishing eighth, followed by Alex Albon in ninth. Lewis Hamilton, on the other hand, claimed to have struggled for pace in his Ferrari, finishing seventh. Mercedes also struggled, securing fifth and sixth place in the race.

Miami Grand Prix Qualifying Preview

Heading into the Miami Grand Prix, the main question on everyone’s minds is, can Oscar Piastri hold on to the championship lead?

Having secured three wins so far from five races, the Aussie is the standout driver on the grid for 2025. However, Norris is out to stop his teammate in his tracks, returning to the place that, one year ago, saw him secure his first-ever Formula 1 race win.

It is also a chance for Williams to continue to show their progress after a double points finish last time out, with the team and fans alike hoping this is the start of Sainz and Albon scoring regular points.

Ferrari will also be looking to build on Leclerc’s first podium of the season, especially after holding off the speedy McLaren of Norris in the closing stages at Jeddah. However, they need to significantly improve in qualifying to challenge the other top teams on the grid.

Ones to Watch

McLaren

As always, the team with the fastest car and leading both championships is the main one to watch in Miami this weekend. After a disappointing crash last time out, Lando Norris managed just 10th on the grid. The British driver will be back looking to take back pole position from his teammate, with Piastri hoping to secure it for himself.

Williams

If we haven’t mentioned it already, Williams scored double points last weekend! So they are the team to watch this week, with both drivers heading into the weekend high on confidence following the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix and a week’s rest.

Red Bull

Max Verstappen will be keen to build on his last pole position and second-place finish and take it a step further to finish on top of the podium. The world champion will be fired up following his five-second penalty on the opening lap of the race in Saudi Arabia. Yuki Tsunoda will also be hoping for a better race following his DNF last time out.
