Tyson Fury is potentially the biggest name in modern-day boxing – and his net worth reflects that.

The Gypsy King has cemented himself as one of the best heavyweight boxers of all time, claiming world titles and seeing his wealth continue to rise.

He has made an incredible amount of money throughout his career and he is set for another huge paycheck in his rematch against Oleksandr Usyk later this week.

So ahead of that historic second meeting, talkSPORT.com takes a look at Fury’s total net worth…

How much is Tyson Fury worth?

In May, Fury’s net worth was estimated to be around $50million (£40m), according to Forbes.

That number made the 36-year-old the 42nd highest-paid athlete in the world in 2024.

He was also listed as only the third most lucrative boxer behind Canelo Alvarez (14th, $85m), and Brit rival Anthony Joshua (16th, $83m).

Forbes reports that Fury has earned $42m in his career, with a further $8m coming from endorsements, including his recent Netflix series.

However, since then, he was understood to have banked a career-high $105m (£85m) payday for his undisputed heavyweight showdown with Usyk.

The prize pool for their rematch is estimated to be closer to £150 million, with Usyk expected to earn a larger share of the prize pot than the first fight, but Fury will still take home another eight-figure sum.

Crucially, it would also push him above AJ at least for the year, with the latter taking home a guaranteed purse of £6m, rising to £25m, for his September defeat to Daniel Dubois.

The lack of clarity around his net worth has led to estimates of his wealth varying, with the Daily Mirror claiming it could be as high as £180m.

It was confirmed in 2022 that Fury had a whopping £43m in his bank account, while he made £13m profit.

A lot of that cash came from wins against Dillian Whyte and Derek Chisora, where he received £25m and £21m, respectively.

He then took on UFC legend Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia on a spectacle night for boxing.

Fury controversially won that bout, claiming a reported £50m for maintaining his unbeaten record.

That means his net worth will likely have increased exponentially, with his updated net worth expected to show a huge number.

The Gypsy King has also had success elsewhere, making appearances in the WWE in 2019 and 2020 and appearing for his debut against Braun Strowman at WWE Crown Jewel.

He won that fight and reportedly earned £11.9m for his participation.

In November 2019, Fury’s autobiography, Behind the Mask, was released and reached the no.1 bestseller position on Amazon within 24 hours of its release.

And his Netflix show ‘At Home with the Furys’ will have added another big chunk of cash to his bank.

Although some reports claim that he is not keen on making any more series, turning down millions in the process.

Despite his financial success, Fury has revealed he will not leave any of his fortune to his seven children.

“I want my kids to get their own money, do their own things and be their own people,” he explained.

“I don’t believe in just giving all your money to your kids but it will make them weak, spoiled and not value anything, worthless. They’ll end up getting to 35 and never having done anything for themselves, apart from spending dad’s money.

“They’ll be middle-aged looking in the mirror and being disappointed. If I buy my son a Lamborghini as soon as he passes his test, he’ll probably kill himself in it. But he also wouldn’t appreciate it. But if he works hard and gets himself a 2004 Corsa, he will be outside washing the c*** out every day, hoovering it top to bottom. And I will be proud of him because he has done it himself.

“I will help them with business deals and investments,” he added. “But I am not a person who will just give everyone an easy life. Hard work, dedication and sacrifice are what makes people strive for different things.”

However, despite his insistence that his kids won’t receive any of the money he earns, the Gypsy King has admitted that is now his main motivation.

Speaking to DAZN ahead of the Usyk rematch, he said: “The one thing I do care about is my family, my kids, looking after them. [This is for] more generational wealth.

“I’m only doing it for the money, obviously. All prize-fighters, if they tell the truth, do it for the money. I don’t want to work for f*** all, I want to earn as much as I can get.

“I want the easiest fights possible for the largest amounts of money. I don’t want the toughest fights possible for the least amount. I wasn’t born on a Christmas cracker.”
